EXPANDING HORIZONS GRANT

The Expanding Horizons Grant was established through the Syracuse Teachers Association with the help of Assemblyman William Magnarelli and the Green Foundation. The purpose of the grant is to enrich the cultural experiences of our city students that align with their curriculum. With the help of this supplemental money, students have been able to visit local educational institutions such as Onondaga Community College, Syracuse University, Cortland State College and Morrisville College. They have been able to attend cultural programs offered at the Civic Center, The Landmark, LeMoyne’s Gifford Center  and Syracuse Stage. Our students have had the opportunity to travel to Albany, Washington DC and Boston to enrich their classroom studies.  These are just some of the wonderful opportunities that we have been able to provide to Syracuse School District Students.
