About The Syracuse Teachers Association
The Syracuse Teachers Association (STA) is a labor union representing teachers, teaching assistants, and other educational professionals who work in the Syracuse City School District in Syracuse, New York.

STA was established in 1848 and is affiliated with the New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT). The union represents more than 3,000 members who work in a variety of educational settings, including elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and special education programs.
